Guatemala Mission Trip September 2025

Our Mission to Guatemala was September 3,4,5. We Arrived Wednesday Morning, to Hogar de la Nina, which is distance from the city of Guatemala. Traffic is very stressful and chaotic, everyday intense traffic because it has many motorcycles on the roads, it is very dangerous to be driving.

I am grateful to be able to bring dental supplies to the clinic, shoes for the Nuns and toys for the children. They were very happy.

The clinic receive a New Autoclave machine sterilizes the dental instruments. The problem I found on this visit was due to the weather being very humid. Also because it had been raining a lot, the outside wall at the clinic was damaged and mold has been growing in the wall, facing the sink and the cabinet that we keep the dental supplies. It is going to be a huge cost for the repair and repainting the wall.

Dr. Morales was able to help and he brought a friend of him who is a dentist, Dr. Roland Ulin. This year the charity was able to pay Dr. Morales a low salary for 3 months to be able restore many mouths for the children and the Nuns. 233 in total receive their dental care during this short time. He did come once a week despite the traffic. Many procedures ware done, sealants, fillings, extractions, crowns for children also crowns bridges and partial dentures for some of the teachers and the Nuns.

On our last day Dr. Morales completed 3 months and the clinic won’t have a Dentist until hopefully next year 2026 for another 3 months. We had a Doctor who is Quiropract Judy Anaya. She was a blessing, because she provided stretching and massages to the Sisters who live at this place during the mission. They also received their new shoes and it was a joy to see their Smiles and Happiness.

At the last day we prayed all together for Peace.

It Was a successful trip to Guatemala. We reached 3 orphanages to bring care and love.
